Ana Lúcia Merege Correia

Master in Information Science from IBICT/UFRJ-ECO (1999). Bachelor of Library Science from UNIRIO (1992). Since 1996 she has been a librarian of the National Library Foundation, where since 2016 she has been the curator of the Manuscript Division. She is also a curator of the Brazilian Digital repertoire of Children's and Youth Literature, of the National Library Foundation. Her main activities are: writing and proofreading, production of informative content for the Internet, description of documents in foreign languages, technical research, preparation of thematic indexes, assembly and presentation of exhibitions. In parallel, she has a career as a writer, editor and researcher of fantastic literature. She is the author of several books and short stories and organizer of collections. She has also published a book on Fairy Tales and Fantastic Literature texts, aimed largely at educators and reading mediators. She gives lectures on the subject in schools, libraries and literary events.

Mestre em Ciência da Informacão pelo IBICT/UFRJ-ECO (1999). Bacharel em Biblioteconomia pela UNIRIO (1992). Desde 1996 é bibliotecária da Fundação Biblioteca Nacional, onde, desde 2016, exerce a função de curadora da Divisão de Manuscritos. É ainda cocuradora do repertório digital Brasiliana de Literatura Infantil e Juvenil, da Fundação Biblioteca Nacional. Tem como principais atividades: redação e revisão de textos, produção de conteúdo informativo para a Internet, descrição de documentos em línguas estrangeiras, pesquisa técnica, confecção de índices temáticos, montagem e apresentação de exposições. Em paralelo, tem uma carreira como escritora, editora e pesquisadora de literatura fantástica. É autora de vários livros e contos do gênero e organizadora de coletâneas. Também publicou um livro sobre Contos de Fadas e textos sobre Literatura Fantástica, voltados em grande parte para educadores e mediadores de leitura. Profere palestras sobre o tema em escolas, bibliotecas e eventos literários.
