Rafael Richie Lopez Chavez

Possui graduação em Engenharia de Geologia na Faculdade de Geologia, Minas e Geofísica, pela Universidade de San Agustín de Arequipa, Peru (2005), Mestrado em Geotecnia em Engenharia Civil, pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (2011) e Doutorado em Geotecnia em Engenharia Civil, pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (2020). Tem atuado nas seguintes áreas: Mecânica das Rochas, Física das Rochas, Geomecânica do Petróleo, Geotecnia. Atualmente é pesquisador no Laboratório de Mecânicas das Rochas do Grupo de Tecnologia e Engenharia de Petróleo (GTEP).

Rafael Richie Lopez Chavez holds a bachelor's degree (2005) in Geology Engineering from the University of San Agustín de Arequipa-Peru and a master's degree (2011) in Geotechnics in Civil Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. In his master's thesis, he studied the systems of containment of solids in oil wells in a cubic cell. He has experience in high and low frequency rock mechanics and physics laboratories and currently holds a PhD in Civil Engineering at PUC Rio in the area of Geotechnics and since 2018 is a researcher in the Group of Technology and Petroleum Engineering (GTEP).
