Micael Veríssimo de Araújo

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (2016) and a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2019). During Graduation in Mathematics, he was a scientific initiation student, where he had the opportunity to work with High Energy Physics in the search for the Higgs boson in the b-bbar channel using neural networks. In the Masters, he worked on the development of an online filter (Trigger), based on neural networks, for electron detection in the ATLAS experiment. He has experience in Mathematics, Statistics and Machine Learning, with emphasis on Differential Geometry and Signal Processing. He is currently a doctoral student in the graduate program in Electrical Engineering at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and author of the ATLAS experiment. He is interested in neural networks, information geometry and Riemannian geometry.

Possui Bacharelado em Matemática pela Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (2016) e Mestrado em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (2019). Durante Graduação em Matemática foi aluno de iniciação científica, onde teve a oportunidade de trabalhar com Física de Altas Energias na busca do bóson de Higgs no canal b-bbar utilizando redes neurais. No Mestrado, atuou no desenvolvimento de um filtro online, baseado em redes neurais, para deteção de elétrons no experimento ATLAS. Tem experiência na área de Matemática, estatísica e Machine Learning, com ênfase em Geometria Diferencial e Processamento de Sinais. Atualmente é aluno de doutorado no programa de pós-graduação em Engenharia Elétrica da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro e autor do experimento ATLAS. Possui interesse em redes neurais, geometria da informação e geometria riemanniana.
