Rafaela Neiva Ganga

Degree in Educational Sciences (FPCEUP / 2006) and PhD in Sociology (FLUP / 2013) with the thesis An (Inter / Multi) Cultural Education at Three Times. An essay of European ethnographic imagination in spaces of art, education and contemporary culture. Between 2008 and 2010 she acted was Visitor Researcher at Tate Liverpool, ?iuolaikinio Meno Centras and Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art. Associated Professor at Higher Institute of Social Work of Porto, where she teaches in the area of Community/Arts Education, since 2011. Senior Researcher at the Institute of Sociology, in the area of Artistic Creation, Cultural Practices and Policies, since 2007. In 2014, she acted as Management Science and Technology at the Institute of Cognitive and Social Psychology, Vocational Development (IPC-FPCEUP). Fellowship for Scientific Research (2007-2011 / 2012-2013) for various research projects in Sociology of Art and Sociology of Culture; Curator for shairart.Since 2006, she worked as Educational Consultant for the Deaf Association of Porto and the Casa da Música in the design and execution of research and education? projects, such as Hyperscore in Schools, in partnership with the Media Lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Referee of the International Journal of Learning, thematic coordinator of Environment, Space and Territory dimension of the Social Barometer Platform and author of several contributions in the areas of Sociology of Education and Culture, Contemporary Art, Research Methodology, Urban Regeneration, Migration, Ageing and European Integration.

Licenciada em Ciências da Educação (FPCEUP/ 2006) e Doutorada em Sociologia (FLUP/ 2013) com a tese Uma Educação (Inter/Multi) Cultural a Três Tempos. Um ensaio de imaginação etnográfica europeia em espaços de arte, educação e cultura contemporânea. Investigadora de pós-doutoramento no Departamento de Artes Plásticas da Universidade de São Paulo, com o projeto ?Is There a Win-Win Situation? Sentidos e lugares da arte participada brasileira?. Entre 2008 e 2010 foi Investigadora Visitante na Tate Liverpool, ?iuolaikinio Meno Centras e Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Serralves. Professora Auxiliar do Instituto Superior de Serviço Social do Porto, de 2011 a 2015, e Investigadora da linha Criação Artística, Práticas e Políticas Culturais do Instituto de Sociologia (IS-UP), desde 2007. Em 2014, assumiu funções como Gestora de Ciência e Tecnologia no Instituto de Psicologia Cognitiva, Desenvolvimento Vocacional e Social (IPC-FPCEUP). Avaliadora externa do Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) da International Association for the Evaluation of Education Achievement (IEA), coordenado em Portugal pelo IAVE (Ministério da Educação.) Bolseira de Investigação Científica (2007-2011 / 2012-2013 / 2015) para vários projetos de investigação em Sociologia da Arte, Sociologia da Cultura e Migrações. Curadora da shairart.Desde 2006, trabalhou como Consultora Educativa para a Associação de Surdos do Porto e para a Casa da Música na conceção e implementação de projetos de investigação e educação, tais como o Hyperscore nas Escolas, em parceria com o Media Lab do Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Referee da International Journal of Learning e da Revista Brasileira de Gerontologia e Geriatria, coordenadora temática da dimensão Arte e Cultura da Plataforma Barómetro Social e autora de vários contributos nas áreas da Sociologia da Cultura e Educação, Arte Contemporânea, Metodologias de Investigação, Regeneração Urbana, Migrações, Envelhecimento e Integração Europeia.
