Ph.D. in Soil Science, Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2002). MS in Agronomy (Soil Sciences) by the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (1991). Undergraduate in Agronomic Engineering from Universidade Federal da Paraíba (1986). He is currently Associate Professor of the Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco. He has experience in engineering Agronomy, Environmental and Agricultural Engineering, with emphasis on Management and Conservation of Soil and Water Conservation, Soil and Water Engineering, acting on the following topics: mechanics of erosion, sediment transport, rill and interrill erosion, design riparian zones, soil quality, sediment yield from watersheds in the semiarid, and relations of hydrology and cover of the shrubs (Caatinga). I'm Advisor of Environmental Engineering Graduate, Crop Production and Biometry and Applied Statistics of UFRPE Course with an average of 2.15 graduates (students post) per year, and works with projects approved by the CNPq, CAPES and FACEPE.
Tem Pós-doutorado na TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY em College Station, Texas (USA) com APOIO DA CAPES -BOLSA DE PÓS-DOUTORADO, Coordenador do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia Ambiental da UFRPE, no período de 2018 a 2020, Trabalha em parcerias internacionais com modelagem em hidrossedimentologia e hidrologia de bacias hidrográficas. Doutor em Ciência do Solo pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2002). Mestre em Agronomia (Ciências do Solo) pela Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco (1991). Graduação em Engenharia agronômica pela Universidade Federal da Paraíba (1986). Atualmente é professor Associado da Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco. Tem experiência nas áreas de engenharia Agronômica, Engenharia Ambiental e Engenharia Agrícola, com ênfase em Manejo e Conservação do Solo e da Água e Engenharia de Conservação do Solo e Água em bacias hidrográficas, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Mecânica da erosão, transporte de sedimentos, erosão em entressulcos e em sulcos, dimensionamento ciliar, qualidade do solo, bacias hidrográficas do semiárido, produção de sedimentos, e relações de hidrologia e vegetação da Caatinga. É orientador de Doutorado e mestrado dos Programas de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia Ambiental (PPEAMB) e Produção Agrícola (PGPA) da UFRPE com media de 2.15 titulados (alunos de pós) por ano, tendo sido 10 Doutores, 17 Mestres e 6 de Pós-Doutores. Consegue trabalhar com fomento do CNPq, CAPES e FACEPE.
