Jürgen Josef Bohn

Jürgen Bohn received his Master's Degree in Computer Science from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany, in 2000, and his Ph.D. (Dr. sc. techn.) from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich), Switzerland, in 2006. From 1999 to 2000 he was a Student Researcher at the IBM Zurich Research Laboratory in Switzerland, where he completed his Master's thesis in the field of mobile agent security. From 2000 until 2006 he was a Research Assistant at the Institute for Pervasive Computing at ETH Zurich, where he investigated dependability aspects of highly distributed systems, with special emphasis on RFID-assisted service infrastructures and location systems. Since August 2006 he has been a Senior Researcher at the Wernher von Braun Center for Advanced Research in Brazil, where he is working on innovative radio frequency identification (RFID) systems and applications for item and pallet tracking, asset localization, anti-counterfeiting, and vehicle identification.
