Eraldo Lourenso Zanella

Graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Federal University of Pelotas (1987), Master's Degree in Veterinary Medicine - University of Lincoln Nebraska (1994), PhD in Animal Science from University of Lincoln Nebraska (1998). Pos Doc Fellow at NADC/ARS/USDA in Ames, Iowa (2008), working with viral agents that affect swine reproduction and zoonoses. He served as Professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Agronomy at the University of Passo Fundo (1999-2022), teaching classes in the area of Swine Clinics and Animal Reproduction, in addition to undergraduate classes, he taught postgraduate classes in Bioexperimentation at FAMV- UPF. Member of the Association of Swine Specialist Veterinarians (ABRAVES), and President of the Technical Deliberative Council (CDT) of the Brazilian Association of Wagyu Cattle Breeders. He has experience in the area of Veterinary Medicine, with an emphasis on Pathophysiology of Animal Reproduction, working mainly on the following topics: swine, bovine, semen, sows, reproduction biotechnics, PCV2, Aujeszky and Influenza A H1N1. Owner partner of Agropecuária Zanella, specialized in genetic material from Wagyu cattle. He currently works as an established researcher at NADC in Ames, Iowa, United States.

Atuou como Professor Titular da Faculdade de Medicina Veterinária e Agronomia da Universidade de Passo Fundo (1999-2022), ministrando as disciplinas de Clinica Médica de Suínos e Reprodução Animal, além das aulas na graduação, ministrou aulas no Pós graduação em Bioexperimentação da FAMV-UPF. Membro da Associação de Veterinários Especialistas em Suínos (ABRAVES), e Presidente do Conselho Deliberativo Técnico da Associação Brasileira de Criadores de Bovinos da raças Wagyu. Tem experiência na área de Medicina Veterinária, com ênfase em Fisiopatologia da Reprodução Animal, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: suínos, sêmen, porcas, reprodução, PCV2, Aujeszky e Influenza A H1N1. Sócio proprietário da Agropecuária Zanella, especializada em material genético de bovinos das raças Wagyu. Atualmente trabalha como Established Researcher no NADC em Ames, Iowa, Estados Unidos.
