I hold a Bachelor's Degree (Honours) in Agronomic Engineering (2003); MPhil in Water Resources Engineering (2006); PhD in Water Resources Engineering (2012); Graduate Certificate in Higher Education (2014) and Postoctorate in Water Resources Engineering (2016). I have been working as an academic at Griffith University, Australia, since 2008. My most recent positions were: Senior Lecturer (2021-current): with a profile of 50% teaching, 40% research, 10% administrative services; Lecturer (2012-2020): with a profile of 60% teaching, 30% research, 10% administrative services. With over 15 years of academic experience spanning from 2008 to the present, I am a dedicated educator and researcher with a focus on various Engineering disciplines. As a lecturer, I have expertise in subjects such as Hydrology, Hydraulics, Fluid Mechanics, Matlab, Solidworks, Engineering Design, Research Methods, and Statistics. In my research, I concentrate on topics such as surface hydrology, climate change's impact on hydrological processes, irrigation water management, desalination systems, and renewable energy (with a focus on salinity energy). I utilize various research tools such as Matlab, ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWAT, SWAP, and Excel, among others. Additionally, I have five years of industry experience, ranging from 2002 to 2007. During this period, I worked as a consultant to local governments and private engineering firms, focusing on water resource planning and management. I also served as a GIS analyst, where I analyzed spatial data and designed digital maps using mapping software. Research interests: My main research areas are: integrated water resources management and planning, evaporation reduction techniques, climate change impacts on agriculture and water resources, climate change adaptation, new forms of renewable energy (osmotic power), soil erosion and conservation. Research grants and prizes: I have a growing number of successful research grants and prizes, including an Academic Equity Development Grant in 2021 (AU$ 20.000,00), an AMP Tomorrow Fund Grant in 2015 (AU$ 47.000,00), a Griffith Theme Seed Funding Grant in 2016 (AU$ 11.000,00), a Griffith High Impact Factor Publication Reward in 2016 (AU$ 6.000,00), an Edaphic Research Equipment Grant in 2016 (AU$ 5.000,00) and a New Researcher Grant in 2012 (AU$ 4.500,00). Publications: My research outcomes have been published in highly ranked international journals, such as the Journal of Hydrology, Scienec of the Total Environment, the Journal of Membrane Science, Renewable & Sustainable Energy Reviews, Water Resources Management, and international conference proceedings, such as the International Water Association Conference and the International Conference of the European Water Resources Association. Publication Impact Summary (updated May 2023): Citations 1096; h-index 16; i10-index 24. https://scholar.google.com.au/citations?hl=en&user=0F3J7vIAAAAJ&view_op=list_works&sortby=pubdate https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9947-3013
