Alan Raphael de Farias Klein Moraes

He obtained a Master's Degree in Evolutionary Genetics and Molecular Biology at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCAR) performing biophysical characterization of the mitochondrial enzyme P5CDH from Trypanosoma cruzi at the Structural Biology Laboratory (LBEst) of the São Carlos Institute of Physics (IFSC- USP) (2016) He obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology at Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCAR) after completing his research work abaut the effect of Selenium-containing compounds on the development and viability of the protozoan Trypanosoma cruzi at the Structural Biology Laboratory (LBEst) of the São Carlos Institute of Physics (IFSC-USP) (2013) During undegrad time, he worked at the Laboratory of Applied Genetics and Biochemistry (LBGA) of the Department of Genetics and Evolution (DGE-UFSCAR) where he carried out the identification and molecular characterization of Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast strains for genetic improvement aiming improvement of production of bioethanol in sugar and alcohol plants in the state of São Paulo (2010). He obtained the title of Technician in Chemistry by the Technical College of Lorena (COTEL) of the School of Engineering of Lorena (EEL-USP) (2007).

Obteve grau de Mestre em Genética Evolutiva e Biologia Molecular pela Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCAR) realizando como pesquisa a caracterização biofísica da enzima mitocondiral P5CDH de Trypanosoma cruzi no Laboratório de Biologia Estrutural (LBEst) do Instituto de Física de São Carlos (IFSC-USP) (2016) Obteve o grau de Bacharel em Biotecnologia pela UFSCAR ao finalizar seu trabalho sobre o sobre o efeito de compostos contendo Selênio no desenvolvimento e viabilidade do protozoário Trypanosoma cruzi no Laboratório de Biologia Estrutural (LBEst) do Instituto de Física de São Carlos (IFSC-USP) (2013) Trabalhou no Laboratório de Bioquímica e Genética Aplicada (LBGA) do Departamento de Genética e Evolução (DGE-UFSCAR) onde realizou a identificação e caracterização molecular de cepas de levedura Saccharomyces cerevisiae para melhoramento genético para melhorar a produção de bioetanol em usinas sucroalcooleiras do estado de São Paulo (2010). Obteve o título de Técnico em Química pelo Colégio Técnico de Lorena (COTEL) da Escola de Engenharia de Lorena (EEL-USP) (2007).
