Eduardo Bessa Pereira da Silva

Eduardo Bessa is a professor at the University of Brasília with a Master's degree in Biological Sciences (Zoology) from USP (2004) and a PhD in Animal Biology (Ecology and Behavior) from IBILCE-UNESP (2013). Furthermore, he did a post-doctoral internship at the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Department of Princeton University. He has experience in Zoology, with emphasis on Ichthyology and Animal Behavior, working mainly on the following topics: Reproductive Behavior and Conservation. He is also interested in science communication, regionally coordinating the Pint of Science festival in the Midwest and participating in the Editorial Board of Darcy Magazine. He is a member of the Animal Behavior Society's Education Committee and the International Panel on Behavioral Change.

É professor efetivo da Universidade de Brasília com mestrado em Ciências Biológicas (Zoologia) pela USP (2004) e Doutorado em Biologia Animal (Ecologia e Comportamento) pelo IBILCE-UNESP (2013). Além disso, fez estágio pós-doutoral no Departamento de Ecologia e Biologia Evolutiva da Universidade de Princeton. Tem experiência na área de Zoologia, com ênfase em Comportamento Animal, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: comportamento reprodutivo e ictiologia. Também tem interesse em divulgação científica, coordenando regionalmente o festival Pint of Science no Centro-Oeste e compondo o Conselho Editorial da Revista Darcy. É membro do comitê educacional da Animal Behavior Society e do Painel Internacional de Mudanças Comportamentais.
