Herson Oliveira da Rocha

have a degree in Mathematics from the Universidade do Estado do Pará (UEPA, 2005), improvement in high school mathematics (IMPA, 2008), a master's degree in Geophysics from the Institute of Geosciences of the Federal University of Pará (IG/UFPA, 2012) and a PhD in Engineering Reservoir and Exploration, by the Petroleum Engineering and Exploration Laboratory of the Universidade Estadual do Norte Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro (LENEP/UENF, 2020). He is a member of the Brazilian Society of Geophysics (SBGf), the Brazilian Society of Mathematics (SBM) and the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE). In recent years, he has collaborated in research projects related to the characterization of carbonate reservoirs, financed by companies in the oil sector, in partnership with the laboratories of Prospecting Geophysics in Wells (GP²) and Integrated Reservoir Modeling (MIR), both from LENEP/ UENF. He is currently a researcher at the Foundation for Supporting the Development of Scientific Computing (FACC) and also holds the position of adjunct professor at the Federal Rural University of the Amazon (UFRA).

possui graduação em Matemática pela Universidade do Estado do Pará (UEPA, 2005), aperfeiçoamento em Matemática (UFPA/IMPA, 2008), mestrado em Geofísica pelo Instituto de Geociências da Universidade Federal do Pará (IG/UFPA, 2012) e doutorado em Engenharia de Reservatório e Exploração, pelo Laboratório de Engenharia e Exploração de Petróleo da Universidade Estadual do Norte Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro (LENEP/UENF, 2020). É membro da Brazilian Society of Geophysics (SBGf), da Brazilian Society of Mathematic (SBM) e da European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE). Nos últimos anos tem colaborado em projetos de pesquisa relacionados à caracterização de reservatórios carbonáticos, financiados por empresas do setor petrolífero, em parceria com os laboratórios de Geofísica de Prospecção em Poço (GP²) e Modelagem Integrada de Reservatório (MIR), ambos do LENEP/UENF. É líder do grupo de pesquisa intitulado Núcleo de Estudos em Geociências, Engenharia e Meio Ambiente (NUGEMA/UFRA) e membro do grupo de pesquisa Geologia e Geofísica Aplicada ao Meio Ambiente (GGAMA/UFPA). Atualmente é pesquisador na Fundação de Apoio ao Desenvolvimento da Computação Científica (FACC) e também ocupa o cargo de professor adjunto na Universidade Federal Rural da Amazônia (UFRA).
