Vânia de Oliveira Neves

She is Assistant Professor at the Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF) and holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Computational Mathematics from the Instituto de Ciências Matemáticas e de Computação (ICMC/USP) (2015). She also has a Master's degree in Computer Science and Computational Mathematics from the same institute, obtained in 2010. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2006). She has experience in the field of Software Engineering, with a focus on Software Testing, primarily working on the following topics: testing of complex systems (autonomous systems, systems of systems), structural testing, test case generation, repository mining, and software engineering education. She was a visiting researcher funded by Fulbright in the ARiSE Lab group at Columbia University (2021/2022). She was also a visiting researcher in the Software Engineering & Dependable Computing (SEDC) group at ISTI/CNR and the DEpendable Evolvable Pervasive Software Engineering (DEEP-SE) group at Politecnico di Milano. She served as the Chair of the Program Committee of the Brazilian Symposium on Systematic and Automated Software Testing (SAST 2020). She was a member of the Management Committee of the Brazilian Special Commission on Software Engineering (CE-ES) in 2020-2021. She serves as a reviewer for journal articles and conferences in the national and international areas of Software Engineering.

É Professora Adjunta na Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF) e possui doutorado em Ciências da Computação e Matemática Computacional pelo Instituto de Ciências Matemáticas e de Computação (ICMC/USP) (2015). Possui título de mestre em Ciências da Computação e Matemática Computacional pelo Instituto de Ciências Matemáticas e de Computação (ICMC/USP) (2010). É Bacharel em Ciências da Computação pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2006). Tem experiência na área de Engenharia de Software, com foco em Teste de Software, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: teste de sistemas complexos (sistemas autônomos, sistemas de sistemas), teste estrutural, geração de casos de teste, mineração de repositórios e educação em engenharia de software. Foi pesquisadora visitante financiada pela Fulbright no grupo ARiSE Lab, da Columbia University (2021/2022). Também foi pesquisadora vistante nos grupos Software Engineering & Dependable Computing (SEDC), do ISTI/CNR, e do DEpendable Evolvable Pervasive Software Engineering (DEEP-SE), do Politecnico di Milano. Foi a Chair do Comitê de Programa do Simpósio Brasileiro de Teste de Software Sistemático e Automatizado (SAST 2020). Foi membro do Comitê Gestor da Comissão Especial de Engenharia de Software (CE-ES) em 2020-2021. Atua como revisora de artigos de periódicos e de conferências nacionais e internacionais nas áreas de Engenharia de Software.
