Felipe Rettore Andreis

Felipe Rettore Andreis obtained his PhD in Biomedical Engineering and Neuroscience from Aalborg University (Denmark, 2022). Master's in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (PGEEL-UFSC, 2018) and a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Passo Fundo (UPF, 2016) with a year at the University of Birmingham (UK, 2013-2014). He is currently a post-doctoral fellow at Aalborg University (2022 - present). Felipe has experience in Neural Engineering and Neuroscience. He holds a licence to conduct animal experiments (Laboratory Animal Science, EU function ABD) from the University of Southern Denmark, and he has participated in several projects with a focus on using neural interfaces for investigating the peripheral and the central nervous system through implantable nerve interfaces and cortical interfaces (electrocorticography, microelectrode arrays) in applications such as chronic pain, stroke, and neuroprosthetics. Felipe is interested in biomedical signal processing to understand nerve and brain function.
