Formado em Jornalismo na UFG, Mestre em Cinema, com especialização em Roteiro pela ECA/USP, e Doutor em Letras, com especialização em Linguística e Semiótica das Paixões pela FFLCH/USP.
PhD em Narrativa de Ficção, é escritor, com sete livros publicados, e documentarista. Se especializou em teoria da narrativa após três décadas de pesquisas em ficção, e teve seus estudos publicados pela editora Perspectiva, em 2017, na Coleção Estudos, com o título ?As Paixões na Narrativa ? A Construção do Roteiro de Cinema?.
Profissional de televisão, com carreira iniciada nos anos 1990, atuou como diretor de TV na Rede Manchete, passou por vários canais abertos de TV, é produtor, roteirista e diretor de importantes séries de TV e filmes.
