Upon completing my PhD in Primary Care and Health Sciences (Keel University, UK) in 2013, I went to Australia where I spent 6 month as a visiting scholar the George Institute for Global Health (University of Sydney). Next, I was awarded a fellowship by the Science without Borders Programme for Young Talent Attraction, Brazil. As a part of it, spent 2.5 years at the University of São Paulo, Ribeirão Preto, researching primary care-based integrated care for multimorbidity in Brazil. In 2017 I moved back to the UK, where I work since for the Health Services Research Unit (University of Aberdeen, UK). I also closely collaborate with the Aberdeen Centre for Health Data Science (University of Aberdeen, UK) and colleagues from the Faculties of Nursing and Social Medicine, at University of São Paulo, Ribeirão Preto, Brazil. I am a health service researcher and implementation scientist. I am interested in improving and evaluating improvement of healthcare, particularly for people with complex healthcare needs that require a multidisciplinary team approach. A major recent focus of my work has been sustainable healthcare improvement through technological and data-driven innovation. I am interested in public involvement in data-intensive health research. A multi-stakeholder and co-production approaches are at the heart of my research activities. I use both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
