He holds a PhD in Social Sciences/Anthropology from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo - PUC/SP and a Sandwich Doctorate from the University of Porto - UPORTO (Capes and CNPq Scholarships). Master's student in Anthropology at the University of Brasilia UNB and Master in Business Administration. Currently Professor at the Federal University of Goiás - UFG and Permanent Professor of the Graduate Program in Art and Visual Culture (PPGACV/FAV - UFG/Campus Goiânia). Vice-Representative at the Dean of Student Affairs - PRAE, Faculty of Information and Communication - FIC. Prof. of the Public Relations Course. Ad hoc Consultant for Evaluations of Undergraduate Courses by the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (INEP/MEC). Permanent Member of the Brazilian Association of Anthropology - ABA and Permanent Member of the Portuguese Association of Anthropology - APA. He was Dean Professor at the Federal University of Sergipe-UFS for eleven years, where he was Course Coordinator and Head of Department. His research was financed by the Foundation for Research and Technological Innovation of the State of Sergipe - FAPITEC - SE. Coordinated the Courses in the Applied Social Sciences Area at the Faculty of Technology and Science - UNIFTC/BA. Leader of the CNPq Research Group: Body, Culture and Consumption. Researcher of the CNPq Research Group: Study Group of Contemporary Cultural Practices - GEPIC (PUC/USP/UNESP), Member of the MATULA/UnB Anthropology Laboratory. Member of editorial boards of A1 - B2 periodicals, such as Revista Ambivalências and Anthropology and Ethnology Open Access Journal. Coordinates Research in the areas of Anthropology of the Body, Urban Cultures, Identity Processes. For that, it uses the methods of Anthropology. Anteriormente, foi Professor da Universidade Federal de Sergipe - UFS por onze anos, onde atuou como Coordenador de Curso e Chefe de Departamento. Também conduziu pesquisas financiadas pela Fundação de Apoio à Pesquisa e à Inovação Tecnológica do Estado de Sergipe - FAPITEC-SE. Líder do Grupo de Pesquisa CNPq: Corpo, Cultura e Consumo e Pesquisador do Grupo. Também faz parte do Laboratório de Antropologia MATULA/UnB. Além disso, integra corpos editoriais de periódicos (A1) como a Revista Visualidade, bem como o Anthropology and Ethnology Open Access, RIAE, Journal e o Journal of Historical Archaeology Anthropological Sciences. Coordena pesquisas nas áreas de Antropologia do Corpo, Culturas Urbanas e Processos Identitários, utilizando os métodos da Antropologia.
