Grace Gosmann

Possui graduação em Farmácia pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (1981), Mestrado em Ciências Farmacêuticas pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (1989) e Doutorado em Ciências Farmacêuticas pela Université de Paris V (René Descartes) (1996). É Professora Titular da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul desde 2012. É Líder do Grupo de Pesquisa/Diretório dos Grupos de Pesquisa no Brasil/CNPq, intitulado ?Desenvolvimento de insumos farmacêuticos de origem vegetal e sintética". Possui h-index (Web of Science) igual a 27 (Setembro 2021). Realizou Estágio Sênior com bolsa CNPq na Université de Rennes I, França (Janeiro à Março 2016). É Revisora ad hoc de vários periódicos nacionais e internacionais e Consultora ad hoc de agências de fomento nacionais e internacionais (Argentina, Chile e Uruguai). É inventora de uma patente concedida no Brasil e uma depositada na UE e EUA. Participou em eventos nacionais e internacionais como palestrante. Participou na organização e comissão científica de eventos nacionais e internacionais. Exerceu cargos eletivos como Presidente da Comissão de Saúde e Ambiente da Faculdade de Farmácia (COSAT-FAR/UFRGS, 2002/2004), membro da Câmara de Pesquisa/CEPE/UFRGS (2002/2006), membro da Comissão de Pesquisa/FACFAR/UFRGS (1999/2000, 2003/2004), Chefe-Substituto do Departamento de Produção de Matéria-Prima da Faculdade de Farmácia/UFRGS (2001/2005), Chefe do Departamento de Produção de Matéria-Prima (2005-2008), Coordenadora do PPG-Ciências Farmacêuticas/UFRGS (2009/2010), Coordenadora Substituta do PPGCF/UFRGS (2011/2012), Coordenadora da Comissão de Graduação do Curso de Farmácia (2013/ 2015), membro da Comissão de Graduação do Curso de Farmácia (2015/fevereiro 2017). Coordenou projetos em editais PROCAD/NF (UESC, Unicamp, UFRGS), PNPD/PPGCF/UFRGS, edital PPSUS/CNPq/FAPERGS (2017-2020) e foi membro de projeto de edital Casadinho/UFS/UFRGS. Coordenou acordos de cooperação internacional como CAPES/COFECUB (França), CAPES/UDELAR (Uruguai) e PROSUL/CNPq (Brasil, Bolívia, Uruguai). Participou do INCT-Inovação Farmacêutica (2009/2014), e foi coordenadora adjunta da Rede de Planejamento e Síntese de Fármacos do mesmo INCT. Foi Membro da Comissão Assessora da Biblioteca-FAR representando o Departamento de Produção de Matéria-Prima/FACFAR (outubro 2016- agosto 2019) e membro do Núcleo Docente Estruturante (NDE) da FACFAR/UFRGS (2015-2019). Foi Coordenadora do Comitê-FAR de Bolsas IC/PROPESQ/UFRGS (2016-2020). Tem experiência na área de Farmácia, com ênfase em Química Farmacêutica e Medicinal, e Química de Produtos Naturais.

She holds a Pharmacists degree (1981) from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Porto Alegre, RS, Brazil, where she also obtained her MSc. thesis on natural products chemistry (1989). She obtained a Diplôme de Docteur de l?Université Paris V (René Descartes) (1996). She is Professor at the School of Pharmacy of UFRGS since 1990 and Full Professor since 2012. Currently, she coordinates the Laboratory of Phytochemistry and Organic Synthesis (www.ufrgs.br/lafis). She has an Web of Science h-index of 27 (September 2021). She is author/co-author of 109 scientific papers, three books, 10 book chapters and supervised 8 PhD-dissertations, 18 MSc theses and two Post-Doctorants. She has been teaching medicinal chemistry and NMR spectroscopy on graduate and undergraduate levels. She is Leader of the research group « Development of raw pharmaceutical materials from vegetal and synthetic sources » at the Diretório dos Grupos de Pesquisa no Brasil/CNPq (dgp.cnpq.br/dgp/espelhogrupo/0906233761328518). She was recipient of a CNPq fellowship from January to March 2016, as a Senior Researcher at the Université de Rennes I, France, under the supervision of Pr P. van De Weghe. She is referee of various scientific journals and ad hoc reviser of Brazilian and international funding agencies (Argentine, Chile and Uruguay). She is inventor of two patents, one was deposited at the EU and USA. She has been invited to Brazilian and international scientific events as well as to participate in their organizing committees. She has been elected by her colleagues to various administrative positions as: President of the Health and Environmental Committee of the School of Pharmacy (COSAT-FAR/UFRGS, 2002/2004), member of the Research Chamber Board of UFRGS (CEPE/UFRGS, 2002/2006), member of the Research Committee Board of the School of Pharmacy (Compesq-FAR/UFRGS, 1999/2000, 2003/2004), Vice-Head (2001/2005) then Head (2005-2008) of the Raw Material Production Department of the School of Pharmacy/UFRGS, Chair (2009/2010) then Vice-Chair (2011/2012) of the Graduate Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences/UFRGS (PPG-CF, www.ufrgs.br/ppgcf), Coordinator of the Pharmacy Undergraduate Course (2013/2015), member of the Pharmacy Undergraduate Course Board (2015/2017), Coordinator of the undergraduate research scholarships Committee of the School of Pharmacy (IC/PROPESQ/UFRGS, 2016-2020). She has been Coordinator of several research projects among Brazilian institutions as: CAPES/PROCAD/NF (UESC, UNICAMP, UFRGS), PNPD/CAPES/PPGCF/UFRGS, PPSUS/CNPq/FAPERGS, CNPq and FAPERGS (Brazil). She has been Coordinator of several research projects for international cooperation as CAPES/COFECUB (Brazil/France), CAPES/UDELAR (Brazil/Uruguay) and PROSUL/CNPq (Brazil, Bolivia, Uruguay). She was member of the Nacional Institute of Science and Technology for Pharmaceutical Innovation/MCT/CNPq (INCT-if, 2009/2014). She has interest on medicinal chemistry, and natural product chemistry.
