Sandra Terezinha Rey

Artista Plástica. Pesquisadora CNPq-IB. Graduou-se em Artes Plásticas no Instituto de Artes da UFRGS (1980). Doutorado em Arte e Ciências da Arte, menção Artes Plásticas, pela Universidade de Paris I-Panthéon Sorbonne (1993). Realizou pós-doutorado, pesquisa em fotografia/arte contemporânea na Universidade de Paris 8 (2002-03). Desenvolve produção artística em grandes e pequenos formatos, vídeos, instalações e livros de artista a partir de pesquisas em fotografia e tecnologia digital. Seu processo artístico implica um vínculo estreito entre pesquisa formal, técnica e reflexão teórica, resultando na articulação do pensamento visual com a escrita. Docente Convidada no Quadro de Professores Permanente do Programa de Pós-graduação em Artes Visuais da UFRGS. Representante da ICESCO junto à UFRGS e Titular da Cátedra Arte e Natureza, Processos Híbridos, no acordo internacional entre a ICESCO e UFRGS (2022-). Foi Professora Visitante junto ao Programa de Pós-graduação em Artes Visuais da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria UFSM (2017-19). Coordenou o Programa de Pós-graduação em Artes Visuais da UFRGS (2005-09) e participou da comissão coordenadora em diversos períodos. Tem experiência em participação de grupos de pesquisa internacionais. Participou do Coordenou o Acordo de Cooperação Internacional entre PPG Artes Visuais UFRGS e Departamento de Escultura da Universidade Politécnica de Valencia, Espanha (2006-07) onde foi Professora Visitante. Foi pesquisadora Associada no CRAV (Cellule de Recherche en Arts Visuels-équipe d'accueil) dirigido por Eliane Chiron na Universidade de Paris I (2009-2018). Traduziu e publicou os livros A parte de Sombra na última obra de Marcel Duchamp (Ed. UFRGS, 2019); A Tecnologia na Arte de Edmond Couchot (Ed. UFRGS, 2003). Expõe, realiza curadorias e publica textos e artigos sobre questões referentes à pesquisa em Artes Visuais e escritos de artista. Tem experiência na área de Artes Visuais, atuando no campo da arte contemporânea principalmente nas seguintes ênfases: fotografia, arte digital, vídeo, multimeios, instalações, processos de criação artística, articulação teórico-prática e metodologia de pesquisa em artes visuais, curadoria e fundamentos e crítica de arte. Associada à Associação Nacional de Pesquisadores em Artes Plásticas-ANPAP (1994-2016), onde foi membro do Conselho Deliberativo de Poéticas Artísticas (2005-2011), Associação Brasileira de Críticos de Arte-ABCA (desde 2012), e Associação Internacional de críticos de Arte-AICA (desde 2014).

Plastic Artist. Researcher CNPq-IB. She graduated in Fine Arts at the Institute of Arts at UFRGS (1980). PhD in Art and Art Sciences, mention Plastic Arts, from the University of Paris I-Panthéon Sorbonne (1993). She did postdoctoral research in photography/contemporary art at the University of Paris 8 (2002-03). She develops artistic production in large and small formats, videos, installations and artist books based on research in photography and digital technology. Her artistic process implies a close link between formal, technical research and theoretical reflection, resulting in the articulation of visual thinking with writing. Guest Lecturer in the Permanent Professorship of the Postgraduate Program in Visual Arts at UFRGS. She represents ICESCO and she is Director of the Art and Nature Chair, Hybrid Processes, in the international agreement between ICESCO and UFRGS (2022-). She was a Visiting Professor at the Postgraduate Program in Visual Arts at the Federal University of Santa Maria UFSM (2017-19). She coordinated the Graduate Program in Visual Arts at UFRGS (2005-09) and participated in the coordinating committee in several periods. She has experience in participating in international research groups. She participated in the Coordinated the International Cooperation Agreement between PPG Visual Arts UFRGS and the Sculpture Department of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain (2006-07) where she was Visiting Professor. She was Research Associate at the CRAV (Cellule de Recherche en Arts Visuels-équipe d'accueil) directed by Eliane Chiron at the University of Paris I (2009-2018). She has translated and published the books A parte de Sombra in Marcel Duchamp's latest work (Ed. UFRGS, 2019); Technology in Art by Edmond Couchot (Ed. UFRGS, 2003). She exhibits, curates and publishes texts and articles on issues related to research in Visual Arts and artist writings. He has experience in the field of Visual Arts, working in the field of contemporary art mainly in the following areas: photography, digital art, video, multimedia, installations, artistic creation processes, theoretical-practical articulation and research methodology in visual arts, curatorship and fundamentals and art criticism. Associated with the National Association of Researchers in Plastic Arts-ANPAP (since 1994), where she was a member of the Deliberative Council of Artistic Poetics (2005-2011), Brazilian Association of Art Critics-ABCA (since 2012), and International Association of Art Critics Arte-AICA (since 2014).
