Cláudio Viana Pereira

He has a Bachelor's Degree in Military Sciences from the Military Academy of Agulhas Negras (1993), a Bachelor's Degree in Legal and Social Sciences from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2004) and a Master's in Military Operations from the School for the Improvement of Officers (2001). He has experience in the Defense area, with an emphasis on the Ground Support Fire Support operational system. He was Chief of Police of the Command of the 1st Army Division from December 5, 2007 until December 12, 2011. He completed the Army Command and Staff Course at the Army Command and Staff School in 2013. He was a Delegate of Military Judicial Police at the 5th Military World Games, at the 2014 World Cup and at the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games. In 2015, he composed the General Staff of the 22nd Contingent of the Peacekeeping Infantry Battalion in Haiti. He was Head of Legal Advisory for the 1st Army Division in 2016. He commanded the 31st Field Artillery Group (School) - (Artillery School Group) in 2017 and 2018, with an emphasis on operations under the National Public Security Plan ( Carioca Operations) and during the Federal Intervention in Public Security in the State of Rio de Janeiro (Operations Hurricane and Dynamo). During 2019, he was the Chief of Staff of the School Units Group - 9th Motorized Infantry Brigade.

Possui graduação em Bacharelado em Ciências Militares pela Academia Militar das Agulhas Negras (1993), graduação em Bacharelado em Ciências Jurídicas e Sociais pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (2004) e mestrado em Operações Militares pela Escola de Aperfeiçoamento de Oficiais (2001). Tem experiência na área de Defesa, com ênfase em no sitema operacional Apoio de Fogo da Força Terrestre. Foi Chefe de Polícia do Comando da 1ª Divisão de Exército de 5 de Dezembro de 2007 até 12 de Dezembro de 2011. Concluiu o Curso de Comando e Estado-Maior do Exército na Escola de Comando e Estado-Maior do Exército em 2013. Foi Delegado de Polícia Judiciária Militar nos V Jogos Mundiais Militares, na Copa do Mundo 2014 e nos Jogos Olímpicos e Paralímpicos 2016. Em 2015, compôs o Estado-Maior do 22º Contingente do Batalhão de Infantaria de Força de Paz no Haiti. Foi Chefe da Assessoria Jurídica da 1ª Divisão de Exército em 2016. Comandou o 31º Grupo de Artilharia de Campanha (Escola) - (Grupo Escola de Artilharia) em 2017 e 2018, com destaque para as operações no âmbito do Plano Nacional de Segurança Pública (Operações Carioca) e durante a Intervenção Federal na Segurança Pública no Estado do Rio de Janeiro (Operações Furacão e Dínamo). Durante o ano de 2019, foi o Chefe do Estado-Maior do Grupamento de Unidades Escola - 9ª Brigada de Infantaria Motorizada.
