Adriano Galindo Leal

Adriano Galindo Leal has been a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering since 2006 from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo and has been serving as a senior researcher at IPT since 2010. After a year as a visiting researcher at Technische Universität Berlin in 2019, he returned to Brazil and founded the Artificial Intelligence and Analytics Section at IPT, where he worked as a Technical Manager for two years.During his stay in Berlin, he conducted innovative studies on "Machine Learning Applications in the Internet of Things within the cyber-physical ecosystem of smart cities." Currently, in addition to his research activities in Artificial Intelligence, he teaches the courses "Introduction to Artificial Intelligence" and "Artificial Intelligence applied to Cybersecurity" in the MTA in Cybersecurity program. This initiative is a partnership between the Instituto de Pesquisas Tecnológicas (IPT) and the company Lenovo. Between May 2019 and January 2020, he was a visiting researcher at Technische Universität Berlin - TU Berlin.During the first 11 years of his career, he worked as an RD Engineer for the Automation Group of Generation, Transmission, and Distribution at the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo, where he was responsible for the study and development of automation and information systems in the areas of power generation, transmission, and distribution. From April 2007 to November 2010, he worked on RD projects in Electrical Engineering and Business Intelligence at Elucid Solutions, a consulting company specializing in the energy distribution sector.His main research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Embedded Systems, Smart Cities, Intelligent Transportation Systems, Big Data, Project Management, PMBOK, Geographic Information Systems, Business Intelligence, and solutions for the operation and maintenance of power distribution networks.Since 2006, he has been a member of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), actively participating in the following technical societies: IEEE Power Energy Society (President of the IEEE South Brazil Section from 2015 to 2019), IEEE Internet of Things Community, IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, IEEE Smart Cities Community, IEEE e-Government, IEEE Computer Society, IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Society, and IEEE Smart Grid Community.

Adriano Galindo Leal é Doutor em Engenharia Elétrica desde 2006 pela Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo e atua como pesquisador sênior do IPT desde 2010. Após um ano como pesquisador visitante na Technische Universität Berlin em 2019, ele retornou ao Brasil e fundou a Seção de Inteligência Artificial e Analytics do IPT, onde atuou como Gerente Técnico por dois anos. Durante sua estadia em Berlim, conduziu estudos inovadores sobre a Aplicação do aprendizado de máquina na internet das coisas que compõem o ecossistema ciberfísico das cidades inteligentes. Atualmente, além de suas atividades de pesquisa em Inteligência Artificial, ministra as disciplinas "Introdução à Inteligência Artificial" e "Inteligência Artificial aplicada à Cibersegurança" no MTA em Cibersegurança. Essa última iniciativa é uma parceria entre o Instituto de Pesquisas Tecnológicas (IPT) e a empresa Lenovo. Entre maio de 2019 e janeiro de 2020, foi pesquisador visitante na Technische Universität Berlin - TU Berlin. Durante os 11 anos iniciais da carreira, trabalhou como Engenheiro de PD para o Grupo de Automação da Geração, Transmissão e Distribuição da Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo, onde foi responsável pelo estudo e desenvolvimento de sistemas de automação e informação nas áreas de geração, transmissão e distribuição de energia elétrica. Na sequência, de abril de 2007 até novembro de 2010, atuou em Projetos de PD de Engenharia Elétrica e Business Intelligence na Elucid Solutions, uma empresa de consultoria de TI para empresas de distribuição de energia elétrica. Seus principais interesses de pesquisa são Inteligência Artificial, Sistemas embarcados, Cidades Inteligentes (Smart Cities), Sistemas Inteligentes de Transportes, Big Data, Gerenciamento de Projetos, PMBOK, Sistemas de Informações Geográficas, Business Intelligence e soluções para operação e manutenção de redes de distribuição elétrica. Desde 2006 é membro do IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), fazendo parte das seguintes sociedades técnicas: IEEE Power Energy Society (Presidente da Seção IEEE South Brazil de 2015 até 2019); IEEE Internet of Things Community; IEEE Computational Intelligence Society; IEEE Smart Cities Community; IEEE e-Government; IEEE Computer Society; IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Society; IEEE Smart Grid Community.
