Bacharel em Engenharia Florestal pela Universidade Federal do Oeste do Pará, com ênfase em ecofisiologia de espécies florestais. Mestre em Ciências Ambientais pela Universidade Federal do Oeste do Pará, no Programa em Recursos Naturais da Amazônia, na linha de pesquisa Interação Biosfera- Atmosfera, com ênfase em ecologia de florestas inundáveis, ecofisiologia do crescimento e estoque de carbono.
