Maycon Ricardo Sedrez

Dr. Sedrez holds a bachelor in Architecture and Urban Design from the University of Blumenau - FURB (2002); a Masters Diploma with excellence in Architecture and Urban Design and Planning from the University of Santa Catarina - UFSC (2009); and a PhD Diploma with excellence in Architecture, Technology and City from University of Campinas ? UNICAMP (2016). Dr. Sedrez was honored with scholarships granted by funding agencies in Brazil: Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel - CAPES from 2012-2014 and the Sao Paulo Research Foundation ? FAPESP from 2014-2016, and an exchange scholarship at TU Eindhoven - TUe (2015) granted by the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development - CNPq. Dr. Sedrez has taught computer-aided architectural design at FURB and UFSC (assistant), computational design at UNICAMP and TU Braunschweig, and digital fabrication at AA Visiting School and LAPAC. Dr. Sedrez is reviewer for national and international scientific journals; and reviewer for the annual international conferences eCAADe and SIGRADI. Dr. Sedrez worked as an architect and planner at FURB (2005-2012), and represented the institution in the Municipality?s planning council; he co-founded Estúdio M2 architects (2009), and collaborate as researcher at the Laboratory for Automation and Prototyping for Architecture and Construction ? LAPAC from UNICAMP (2012-2016); Dr. Sedrez was Postdoc researcher at the Institute for Sustainable Urbanism - ISU from TU Braunschweig and currently is teachig Architectural Design at University of Nottingham Ningbo China. His research interests are architecture and complexity, computational design, new design methods, technologies for design.

Dr. Sedrez possui graduação em Arquitetura e Urbanismo pela Universidade Regional de Blumenau - FURB (2002); Mestrado em Arquitetura e Urbanismo pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina - UFSC (2009); e Doutorado em Arquitetura, Tecnologia e Cidade pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas - UNICAMP (2016). Dr. Sedrez recebeu bolsas de estudos pela CAPES (2012-2014) e pela FAPESP (2014-2016), e uma bolsa de intercâmbio do CNPq para a TU Eindhoven - TUe (2015). Dr. Sedrez ensinou CAAD na FURB e UFSC, projeto computacional na UNICAMP e TU Braunschweig, e fabricação digital no LAPAC e AA Visiting School São Paulo. Dr. Sedrez é revisor de periódicos nacionais e internacioanis no campo de arquitetura, urbanismo, tecnologia e sustentabilidade; e revisor das conferências internacionais eCAADe e SIGRADI. Dr. Sedrez trabalhou como arquiteto e planejador na FURB, onde representou a instituição no conselho municipal de planejamento; ele fundou o Estúdio M2 Arquitetos, e colaborou como pesquisador junto ao Laboratório de Automação e Prototipagem para Arquitetura e Construção - LAPAC; Dr. Sedrez fez Postdoc no Institute for Sustainable Urbanism - ISU da TU Braunschweig e atualmente é professor de projeto de arquitetura na Universidade de Nottingham Ningbo China. Dr. Sedrez pesquisa a utilização de novas tecnologias para o processo de projeto de arquitetura e urbanístico, arquitetura e complexidade, projeto computacional, e novos métodos de projeto.
