Silvia Helena Barem Rabenhorst

Graduated in Biological Sciences Modality - Degree and Bachelor's Degree from the Basic Institute of Medical and Agricultural Biology of the Paulista State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho -UNESP, master's and doctorate in Biological Sciences (Genetics) from the Paulista State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho. Postdoctoral fellow at Colorado University, School of Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology-Health-Science Center. She is a Professor of Genetics at the Federal University of Ceará, located at the Department of Pathology and Legal Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of Fortaleza. She is a Full Professor of Genetics at the Federal University of Ceará, assigned to the Department of Pathology and Forensic Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of Fortaleza. She was the coordinator of the Graduate Program in Medical Microbiology and is currently the UFC Focal Point Coordinator of the Doctoral Program in Biotechnology - Northeast Biotechnology Network (RENORBIO). She is the head of the Laboratory of Molecular Genetics-LABGEM, where molecular genetic approaches are applied in studies with an emphasis on oncology (gastric, cerebral, lymphoma, and breast cancer) and genetic predisposition to infectious diseases,

Possui graduação em Ciências Biológicas Modalidade -Licenciatura e Bacharelado pelo Instituto Básico de Biologia Médica e Agrícola da Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho -UNESP , mestrado e doutorado em Ciências Biológicas (Genética) pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho. Pós-Doutorado na Colorado University, School of Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology- Health-Science Center. É professora Titular em Genética da Universidade Federal do Ceará, locada no Departamento de Patologia e Medicina Legal da Faculdade de Medicina de Fortaleza. Foi coordenadora do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Microbiologia Médica e atualmente é.Coordenadora -do Ponto Focal UFC - do Programa de Doutorado em Biotecnologia Rede Nordeste de Biotecnologia (RENORBIO). Coordena o Laboratório de Genética Molecular-LABGEM, onde desenvolve estudos com bordagens de genética molecular com enfase em oncologia (câncer gástrico,cerebrais, linfomas e mama) e na predisposição genética às doenças infecciosas.
