RICARDO ASSUNÇÃO VIALLE

Possui graduação em Matemática e Análise de Sistemas, ambas pela Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR), mestrado em Bioinformática pela UFPR e doutorado em Bioinformática pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG) com período sanduíche no European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI). Realizou residencia pós-doutoral no Laboratório de Genética Humana e Médica na Universidade Federal do Pará (UFPA) entre 2017 e 2018 e junto ao departamento de Neurociências na Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai entre 2018 e 2021. Atualmente é Instructor pela Rush Alzheimer's Disease Center em Chicago, IL e orientador permanente pelos programas de Ciencias da Saúde do Instituto de Assistência Médica ao Servidor Público Estadual (IAMSPE) e de pela pós graduação em Bioinformática da UFPR. Interesses de pesquisa: genômica funcional, evolução molecular e neurociências.

Ricardo has degrees in Mathematics and Systems Analysis, both by the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), a master's degree in Bioinformatics from UFPR and a PhD in Bioinformatics from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) with a sandwich period at the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI). He was a postdoctoral fellow at the Laboratory of Human and Medical Genetics at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA) between 2017 and 2018 and at the Neurosciences department (Towfique Raj lab) at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai between 2018 and 2021. He is currently an Instructor at the Rush Alzheimer's Disease Center in Chicago, IL and a permanent advisor of the Health Sciences Program of the Institute of Medical Assistance to State Civil Servants (IAMSPE) and also for the Bioinformatics graduate program at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR). Research interests: functional genomics, molecular evolution and neurosciences.
