Prof. Dr Gilmário Moreira Brito

Degree in History at the Catholic University of Salvador (1981), specialized in Basic Education and Values ​​in Latin America, FACED, UFBa, OEA, (1984) Master in History of Brazil (1997) and PhD in Social History (2001) by the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo. Full Professor at the State University of Bahia, DEDC, Campus I, he teaches in the undergraduate course ?Education and Research?, ?T.C.C.?, ?History of Education? and ?History of Afro-Brazilian Culture?. He is leader of the Education, History, Cultures and Languages ​​Study Group -GEHCEL-, coordinates the researches "Stories of poets from cordel pamphlets and memories about the daily life of Salvador in the 1950s" and "History textbooks and printed materials to guide activities of teachers and students of the Adolescent and Adult Education Campaign from 1947 to 1950 ". Professor of the Postgraduate Program in Education and Contemporaneity, where he teaches "Education, Culture and Languages", "Research in Education" and "History, Institutions, Cultures and School Disciplines: perspectives and theoretical-methodological challenges". He coordinated the Forum and Line 1, Civilizing Process: Memory, Education and Cultural Plurality. He has experience in History and Education with an emphasis on the following themes: School Institutions and Cultures, Memories and Stories from: Education, didactic books and printed matter, the press, intellectuals and Afro-Brazilian Culture.

Licenciado em História na UCSAL (1981), Especialista em Educação de base na América Latina, FACED, UFBA, OEA, (1984) Mestre em História do Brasil (1997) e Doutor em História Social (2001) pela PUC SP . Professor Titular da Universidade do Estado da Bahia, DEDC, Campus I, leciona na graduação ?Educação e Pesquisa?, ?T.C.C.?, ?História da Educação? e ?História da Cultura Afro-Brasileira?. É líder do Grupo de Estudo Educação, História, Culturas e Linguagens -GEHCEL-, coordena as pesquisas "Histórias de poetas de folhetos de cordel e memórias sobre o cotidiano de Salvador na década 1950" e "Livros e impressos didáticos de história para orientar práticas pedagógicas de professores e alunos da Campanha de Educação De Adolescentes E Adultos de 1947 a 1950". Professor permanente do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação e Contemporaneidade, onde leciona ?Educação, Cultura e Linguagens?, ?Pesquisa em Educação? e "História, Instituições, Culturas e Disciplinas Escolares: perspectivas e desafios teórico-metodológicos". Coordenou o Fórum e a Linha 1, Processo Civilizatório: Memória, Educação e Pluralidade Cultural. Tem experiência em História e Educação com ênfase nos seguintes temas: Instituições e Culturas escolares, Memórias e Histórias da: Educação, de livros e impressos didáticos, da imprensa, de intelectuais e da Cultura Afro-Brasileira.
