JOAO EDUARDO MACHADO PEREA MARTINS

He is an associated professor in the Computer Science Department at the São Paulo State University (UNESP), at Bauru-SP Campus. He received his bachelor's degree in Computer Science from UNESP (1988); and a master and Ph.D. degrees in Applied Physics in the Computational Area by the University of São Paulo (IFSC-USP), in 1993 and 1998, respectively, and an associated professor degree by UNESP in 2017. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the University of Arizona and the University of Illinois, both in USA in 2005, and in the University of Aveiro, Portugal, in 2008. The Scientific interest includes Computational Simulation, Physics education, and Electronic Instrumentation (sensing, data acquisition and automation) in the agricultural and environmental areas. The teaching work focues on the courses of Computer Architecture, Computational Simulation and Programmable Microcontrollers.

Possui graduação em Bacharelado em Ciência da Computação pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1988), mestrado em Física pela Universidade de São Paulo (1993) e doutorado em Física pela Universidade de São Paulo (1998). Atualmente é professor adjunto - livre docente da Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho. Tem experiência na área de Ciência da Computação, com ênfase em Modelos Analíticos e de Simulação, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: sensoriamento, instrumentação eletrônica, automação, aquisição de dados e instrumentação.
