Full Professor in Computer Aided Design by the School of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Urban Design (FEC) of University of Campinas (UNICAMP) (2009), Ph.D. in Automation from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at UNICAMP (1996), Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Arkansas (1984) and Civil Engineer by the Piracicaba Engineering School (1981). She was a professor with at FEC-UNICAMP from 1986 to 2016. She is currently Researcher and Collaborator Professor at FEC-UNICAMP at the Graduate Program in Architecture, Technology, and City & Civil Engineering. She is editor in chief of the Journal PARC Research in Architecture and Construction and a member of the editorial board of Building Research and Information. She was president and director of the National Association of Technology in the Built Environment from 2012-2016. She actively collaborates on research projects with an emphasis on computer development for social housing and environmental performance. Collaborates actively in research projects with emphasis on computational development for social housing and environmental performance. Investigates the use of Augmented Reality applied to design and facility management by assessing the perception and impact on user performance. Develops research on Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Machine Learning applied to the design, construction and operation of buildings.

Livre docente em Projeto Auxiliado por Computador pela Faculdade de Engenharia Civil, Arquitetura e Urbanismo (FEC) da UNICAMP (2009), Doutor em Engenharia Elétrica na área de Automação pela Faculdade de Engenharia Elétrica e de Computação da UNICAMP (1996), Mestre em Ciência em Engenharia Civil pela University of Arkansa (1984) e Engenheira Civil pela Escola de Engenharia de Piracicaba (1981). Foi professor em Regime de Dedicação Integral à Docência e à Pesquisa na FEC-UNICAMP de 1986 a 2016. Atualmente é Pesquisadora e Professora Colaboradora na FEC-UNICAMP junto ao Programa de Pós-Graduação em Arquitetura, Tecnologia e Cidade. É editora chefe da Revista PARC Pesquisa em Arquitetura e Construção e membro do corpo editorial da Building Research and Information. Atuou na presidência e direção da Associação Nacional de Tecnologia no Ambiente Construído entre 2012-2016. Colabora ativamente em projetos de pesquisa com ênfase no desenvolvimento computacional para habitação de interesse social e desempenho ambiental. Investiga o uso da Realidade Aumentada aplicada ao projeto e gestão de facilidades avaliando a percepção e o impacto no desempenho dos usuários. Desenvolve pesquisa no tema de Building Information Modeling (BIM) e Aprendizado de Máquina aplicados ao projeto, construção e operação de edificações e no ensino.
