Guilherme Augusto Guglielmelli Silveira

Doutorando em História pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG). Mestre em História pela Universidade Federal de São João del-Rei (UFSJ). Graduado em História pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG). Pesquiso história da fotografia na Primeira República, com ênfase na primeira década do Brasil República. Minha pesquisa busca relacionar o papel da fotografia como instrumento de memória e criação de cultura visual no Brasil durante a última década dos oitocentos. Sou pesquisador associado do Laboratório de História Oral e Imagem (Labhoi), da Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), e do GT Imagem, Cultura Visual e História, da ANPUH. Por fim, sou professor de História no Ensino Médio e Anos Finais do Ensino Fundamental.

Graduated in History from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). I research the history of photography in the First Republic, with an emphasis on the first decade of Brazil's Republic. My research seeks to relate the role of photography as an instrument of memory and creation of visual culture in Brazil during the last decade of the 19th century. I am an associate researcher at the Laboratory of Oral History and Image (Labhoi), at the Fluminense Federal University (UFF), and at the GT Image, Visual Culture and History, at ANPUH. Finally, I teach History in High School and Final Years of Elementary School.
