Ígor Augusto Negri Donini

Engenheiro Físico formado pela Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCar), Biotecnólogo formado pela Universidade de Ribeirão Preto (UNAERP) e mestre em Biotecnologia pelo Instituto de Química da Universidade Estadual Paulista "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" (UNESP).

Possui experiência na área de materiais com aplicação biológica que foi tema de pesquisa no mestrado e em técnicas de biologia molecular, tema de treinamento técnico TT2 FAPESP na empresa Heranza Biotecnologia. Possui interesse nas áreas de bioengenharia, biofísica e biofísico-química visando à construção de dispositivos com aplicações tecnológicas.

I'm a physics engineer from UFSCar (Federal University of São Carlos) and a biotechnologist from UNAERP (Ribeirão Preto University) with experience in molecular biology (thanks to a scholarship from FAPESP working at the start up "Heranza Biotecnologia") and development of biomedical devices (thanks to another FAPESP grant in my masters study at UNESP, São Paulo State University).

With a long therm development in data analysis thinking (which started in a internship at Citrosuco SA, which is knowed as the biggest orange factory in the world), I really like to think in therms of data and to build models that can understand the reality. Based on that, I've been building my backbone skills in data analysis (programming, economics and society) and biotechnology thinking, based on biochemistry, thermodinamics and systems biology.

So, summing up, I have experience in programming languages: mostly Python, MatLab and MySQL. Based on my previous capacities, I'm able to thrive in blockchain registration technologies and bioinformatics: sequence analysis using with libs like Biopython, and python itself. Recently I've been interested in Machine Learning for health systems applications, and other creative applications.

Besides my experience with science and development, I've been working at other fields like public services (in which I passed a number of very competitive public contests, for example, I was approved as an legislative analyst in a City Council in the interior of the São Paulo state and also as a techincian of Regional Labor Court of São Paulo State, knowed as TRT 15. These approvals in some fields really far from my academic background, like law, economics and sociology, shows that I was capable to succeed in something that I didnt know that I was capable.

From 2016 to 2020, I also opened a company to sell and rent real estates and a website to write about cycling performance and mobility (called DigitalCycling.com.br), doing both for almost four years as a part time experience, and the last one most like a hobby (just like I'm used to cycle for almost two decades to mantain my physical and mental health). I can say that I'm very satisfied with the results achieved, but what I really enjoy doing is research.
