Larissa Pena Ribeiro de Carvalho
Since 2013 Larissa holds a teaching degree in English Linguistics, Literature, and Translations from the Federal University of Santa Catarina UFSC (ranked in 2016 as the 3rd best Federal University in Latin America).Since 2016 she holds a Master's degree from the English Linguistics and Literature graduate program of UFSC. Her advisor is PhD professor Anelise Corseuil and her thesis focuses on the intersection between literature and television. The main point of interest of this study lies on the characterization of Dr. Watson and its social, political, and cultural impact both on the19th century British literature of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (Sherlock Holmes 1887-1927) and on contemporary television show of producer Robert Doherty (Elementary 2012-).Her academic interest revolves around Literature, Film, and Television Studies both in English and Brazilian Portuguese languages and cultures as well as teaching both languages, above all by means of Literature, Film, and Television. Larissa also writes about various subject matters in the arenas of Linguistics, Literature, Film, and Television.
