Douglas Souza Oliveira

Biotechnologist with emphasis in Genetics and Biochemistry. During graduation, I was scientific researcher junior at the Cell Culture and Anilmal Tissue Laboratory, working on Vascular Biochemistry Group projects. Master's Degree in Molecular Biology from the São Paulo School of Medicine at Federal University of São Paulo. Currently PhD Student in Molecular Biology at UNIFESP. I'm a collaborator at the Centre of Excellence in New Target Discovery (CENTD) at Instituto Butantan, where I'm responsible for the Imaging Flow Cytometer. Works contributing to the search for new molecular targets in innate immune cells that can play role in modulating the inflammatory process. Also study the anti-inflammatory action of plant extracts, poisons and animal secretions.

Graduado em Biotecnologia com ênfase em Genética e Bioquímica pela Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (2017). Durante a graduação foi bolsista de Iniciação Científica no Laboratório de Cultura de Células Animais atuando em projetos do Grupo de Bioquímica Vascular. Mestre em Biologia Molecular pela Escola Paulista de Medicina da Universidade Federal de São Paulo (2020). Atualmente cursa Doutorado no PPG em Biologia Molecular - EPM-UNIFESP. É colaborador no Centro de Excelência para Busca de Novos Alvos Moleculares (CENTD, do inglês Centre of Excellence in New Target Discovery) inserido no Instituto Butantan, onde é especialista em Citometria de Imagem. Trabalha contribuindo na busca de novos alvos moleculares em células do sistema imune inato, que tenham participação na modulação do processo inflamatório. Estuda também a ação anti-inflamatória de extratos de plantas, venenos e secreções de animais.
