Carlos Fernando de Almeida Barros Mourão

Atualmente Professor do Departamento de Periodontia da Tufts University, Boston, MA (EUA). No início de 2023, recebeu o título de MFDS RCPS(Glasg), tornando-se membro do Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons do Reino Unido. Como principais titulações, possui graduação em Odontologia, Mestrado em Ciências Cirúrgicas pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, Doutorado em Odontologia pela Universidade Federal Fluminense e dois Pós-doutorado. O primeiro em Cirurgia Buco-Maxilo-Facial e o outro em Biotecnologia, ambos pela Universidade Federal Fluminense. Ainda atua como Pesquisador da Universidade Federal Fluminense Biotecnologia, na Unidade de Pesquisa Clínica (UPC). Tem experiência em pesquisa Translacional em Odontologia, com ênfase nas áreas relacionadas à Implantodontia, Cirurgia Buco-Maxilo-Facial.

Currently a Professor in the Department of Periodontology at Tufts University, Boston, MA (USA). In early 2023, he was awarded the title of MFDS RCPS(Glasg), becoming a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of the United Kingdom. With regards to his qualifications, he has a degree in Dentistry, a Master's in Surgical Sciences from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, a PhD in Dentistry from the Federal Fluminense University, and two post-doctorates. The first in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the second in Biotechnology, both from the Federal Fluminense University. He also works as a researcher in Biotechnology at the Federal Fluminense University's Clinical Research Unit (UPC). He has experience in translational research in Dentistry, with a focus on areas related to Implantology and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
