Graduate in Biological Sciences at the University of Brasília (1985), Master in Fundamental And Applied Marine Ecology - Vrije Universiteit Brussel - Belgium (1989) and PhD in Molecular and Biological Sciences - University of Stirling - Scotland, UK (1996). He completed a postdoctoral program in lipid biochemistry by the University of Stirling, funded by the Niemann Pick Foundation - USA (1997). He also holds a a Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Universidade Tuiuti of Paraná (2006). He was coordinator for the Laboratory of Analytical Biochemistry and the Molecular Pathology Sector of the Sarah Network of Rehabilitation Hospitals. He was technical manager of the Laboratory of Toxicology, Environmental Analysis and Bromatology of the Laboratory Frischmann Aisengart, and also Coordinator of the Pharmaceutical Sciences Course of Unibrasil University in Curitiba, PR. He was Chief Science Officer and Production Director of Phytoplenus Bioativos SA based in Pinhais, PR. He has experience in Analytical Chemistry, with emphasis in Analytical Instrumentation, liquid and gas chromatography, analysis of elements by inductively coupled plasma, mass spectrometry, acting mainly on the following topics: lipid analysis and biochemistry, diagnosis of peroxisomal diseases, analysis of contaminants pesticides, heavy metals, vitamins, nutrients, bioprospecting of bioactives for inflammation and tissue repair, characterization of plants bioactives. Awarded the best work at the 10° Brazilian Congress of Clinical Genetics - SARAH Network, Brasília (1998) . Marcelo Buzzi has been working for more than 20 years in the area of Regerenative Medicine, mainly in the area of inflammation and tissue repair of the skin and nervous tissue. He has extensive knowledge and know-how for research and development of biotechnological pharmaceutical products for tissue repair applied in various pathologies such as diabetic foot ulcers, venous ulcers, pressure ulcers, burns, epidermal skin recomposition, ocular cornea regeneration, buco pharyngeal mucosa repair, inflammations and skin infections in general.
