Rafael Bento Serpa

I have been working with electrochemical processes such as electrodeposition, electropolymerization, electrosynthesis (metal oxides), and corrosion, including electrochemical impedance characterization of thin films. More currently, I have also been working with instrumentation design, more precisely in the design, simulation, construction, and testing of cycloid mass spectrometers. Among the materials I've worked with include: titanium dioxide (aerogel and thin film), manganese dioxide, aluminum oxide, carbon nanotubes, graphenated carbon nanotubes, diamond thin films, metals, polypyrrole, PEDOT, P3HT, hybrid perovskites. I also worked with the manufacture and characterization of electronic devices such as supercapacitors and solar cells.
