Prof. Francisco Trivinho-Strixino graduated in chemistry from the Federal University of São Carlos in 2001. He holds a Master's Degree in Physical Chemistry at the same university in 2003 and a Ph.D. in Sciences with a major in Chemical Physics in 2007. His scientific skills and interests are based on fundamentals of electrochemical materials, in particular plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) films, nanostructured films (LbL), anodic doping, aluminum, zirconium, titanium anodization, metal electrodeposition, nanoporous anodic alumina (NAA), TiO2 nanotubes (TiO2-NTs), conductive polymers, and polyaniline. Since 2009 he is part of the UFSCar professors' staff. He has published 37 scientific papers and two book chapters, and was almost 700 times cited (index H: 13). From 2013 to 2015, he held the position of vice head of the department of chemistry, physics, and mathematics (DFQM-UFSCar) and from 2016 to 2019 was the head of the Materials Science Program at Sorocaba UFSCAR (PPGCM-So). He was the executive secretary of The Brazilian Electrochemical and Electroanalytical Society (SBEE) executive secretary from 2019 to 2021. He is the head educator advisor of MBI UFSCar - Master in Business Innovation course of UFSCar - Sorocaba, a specialization course focused in systemic transformation inside corporations and dealing with complex interdependent questions, such as enviromental issues, leadership and self innovation.
