Maurício Augusto Perussi de Souza

I have a degree (2009), a master's degree (2013) and a doctorate (2022) in Performing Arts from the University of São Paulo. I am a director, teacher and educator. I carried out research around the status of the image in the theater, seeking approximations between the theatrical and photographic languages, in order to outline a definition of ?theatrical image?. Since 2018, I have been researching the work of the German director Susanne Kennedy, whose production started in 2014 and was the subject of her doctoral study. The thesis, in press, will be published by Annablume with the title: ?The Cosmic Theater of Susanne Kennedy: poetics of surfaces and scenic cosmogony?. Currently, I dedicate myself to investigating the autonomy of the audiovisual elements of the scene in relation to the theatrical text.

Possui graduação (2009), mestrado (2013) e doutorado (2022) em Artes Cênicas pela Universidade de São Paulo. É encenador, professor e educador. Realizou pesquisas em torno do estatuto da imagem no teatro, buscando aproximações entre as linguagens teatral e fotográfica, no intuito de esboçar uma definição de ?imagem teatral?. Desde 2018, pesquisa a obra da encenadora alemã Susanne Kennedy, cuja produção iniciada em 2014 foi objeto de estudo de seu doutoramento. A tese, no prelo, será publicada pela editora Annablume com o título: ?O Teatro Cósmico de Susanne Kennedy: poética de superfícies e cosmogonia cênica?. Atualmente, dedica-se a investigar a autonomia dos elementos audiovisuais da cena em relação ao texto teatral.
