Camila Franco Batista

Professor at the Federal Institute of Northern Minas Gerais (IFNMG). I have a Master in Philosophy at the University of São Paulo under the supervision of Professor Laura Patricia Zuntini de Izarra, PhD. I have been developing research on the novel A Star Called Henry, by Roddy Doyle, with a CAPES scholarship. I am graduated in English (Federal University of Paraná - 2009) and I own a bachelor's degree in Literary Studies in English (Federal University of Paraná - 2011). I have experience in languages, specially in literatures in English and the following fields: fiction, Roddy Doyle (1958-), Irish literature, literature and history, The Easter Rising 1916, The Irish War of Independence (1919-1921), Celtic Tiger Ireland (1990-2008), translation, proofreading.

Professora efetiva do Ensino Básico, Técnico e Tecnológico no Instituto Federal do Norte de Minas Gerais (IFNMG) - Campus Januária. Doutora (2021) e mestre (2015) em Letras pela Universidade de São Paulo. Possui licenciatura (2010) e bacharelado (2011) em Letras Inglês pela Universidade Federal do Paraná. Atuou como professora substituta na UFPR entre 2015 e 2017 e como pesquisadora visitante no Trinity College Dublin (2014-2015) no projeto SPECTRESS. Atualmente é pesquisadora da Cátedra de Estudos Irlandeses W. B. Yeats da USP e membro do corpo diretivo da Associação Brasileira de Estudos Irlandeses (ABEI).
