Clarice Marinho Martins

He holds a law degree from the Federal University of Pernambuco-UFPE, a master's degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science - LSE and a doctorate from UFPE, with a sandwich internship at Queen Mary - University of London. Adjunct Professor and Permanent Lecturer at the Professional Master's Degree in Creative Industries and at the Law Degree at the Catholic University of Pernambuco. He works on the following topics: electronic law, legal computing, cloud computing, civil law and intellectual property. Visiting Scholar of the Queen Mary University of London, in 2017 with the theme Digital Content Supply Agreement; and since 2019, together with Professor Dr. Chris Reed, with the research project that investigates the impact caused by the use of artificial intelligence, on systems capable of making autonomous decisions, and the potential damages to individuals and society. It analyzes whether the normative mechanisms already established in Brazil and the United Kingdom, in the area of ​​civil liability, are sufficient to solve the demands that arise from emerging disruptive technologies or if new regulation will be necessary. Participates in CNPq Research groups: 1. Logos - Process, Language and Technology, 2. Media and Contemporary Culture, both from UNICAP. Member of the Royal Society for Arts, Manufactures and Commerce - RSA and 3. CoDeC - Communication, Democracy and Control in the School of Communication.

Possui graduação em Direito pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco-UFPE, mestrado pela London School of Economics and Political Science - LSE e doutorado pela UFPE, com estágio sanduiche no Queen Mary - University of London. Professora Adjunta e Docente Permanente do Mestrado Profissional em Indústrias Criativas e da graduação em Direito da Universidade Católica de Pernambuco. Atua nos seguintes temas: direito eletrônico, informática jurídica, computação em nuvem, direito civil e propriedade intelectual. Visiting Scholar do Queen Mary University of London, em 2017 com o tema Contrato de fornecimento de Conteúdo Digital; e desde 2019, junto ao Professor Dr. Chris Reed, com o projeto de pesquisa que investiga o impacto causado pelo uso da inteligência artificial, nos sistemas capazes de tomar decisões autônomas, e os potencias danos aos indivíduos e à sociedade. Analisa se os mecanismos normativos já estabelecidos no Brasil e no Reino Unido, na área de responsabilidade civil, são suficientes para solucionar as demandas que surgem das emergentes tecnologias disruptivas ou se nova regulamentação será necessária.
