Lígia Maria Camargo Silva Cortez

Lígia Cortez holds a PhD in Languages (Literary Theory and Comparative Literature) from the University of São Paulo (2018) with the doctoral dissertation ?From Asja Lacis to Casa do Teatro: drama theory and practices with and to children?. She is an actress, theater director, art-educator, professor and researcher. She participated in the groups Macunaíma (directed by Antunes Filho) and Teatro Oficina (directed by José Celso Martinez Corrêa) among others. She was invited to teach the subject Actors? Direction in the High Audiovisual Course at the School of Communication and Arts from the University of São Paulo. She is currently the managing director of the Célia Helena Center of Arts and Education (Célia Helena High School of Arts, Célia Helena Drama School and Casa do Teatro). Lígia acts in the Arts sector mainly in Drama Theory, Latin-American Theater, Theater and Audiovisual Performance, Children Theater, Political Theater and Drama Pedagogy. Lígia Cortez é Doutora em Letras (Teoria Literária e Literatura Comparada) pela Universidade de São Paulo (2018) com a tese De Asja Lacis à Casa do Teatro: teoria e práticas do teatro com e para crianças. Atriz, diretora teatral, arte-educadora, professora e pesquisadora. Foi professora convidada na disciplina de Direção de Atores do Curso Superior de Audiovisual da Escola de Comunicação e Artes da Universidade de São Paulo. É diretora do Célia Helena Centro de Artes e Educação (Escola Superior de Artes Célia Helena, Teatro-escola Célia Helena e Casa do Teatro). É Professora do curso de Bacharelado em Teatro da ESCH, Escola Superior de Artes Célia Helena. Atua na área de Artes com ênfase em Teoria do Teatro, Teatro Latino-Americano, Interpretação em Teatro e em Audiovisual, Teatro com Crianças, Teatro Político e Pedagogia do Teatro.
