He holds a master's and doctorate's degree in electrical engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo with a doctoral period at the University of Toronto. He is currently full professor at the Federal University of ABC. He has experience in the field of electrical engineering with emphasis on research and development of wireless communication systems, working mainly on the following topics: WCDMA Systems, OFDMA Systems, PLC Systems, MIMO Systems, Space-Time Coding, Turbo Coding, Adaptive Equalization, Allocation Resources and Smart Grids. He is the main editor of the book Power Line Communication Systems for Smart Grids by IET Publishing and has authored several chapters of national and international books. He is also the author of several articles in national and international congresses and scientific journals.
Possui mestrado e doutorado em engenharia elétrica pela Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo com estágio doutoral na Universidade de Toronto. Atualmente é professor titular da Universidade Federal do ABC. É senior member do IEEE e editor associado da Electronic Letters do IET. É o editor principal do livro Power Line Communication Systems for Smart Grids e autor de diversos capítulos de livros nacionais e internacionais. Também é autor de vários artigos em congressos e revistas científicas nacionais e internacionais. Tem experiência na área de engenharia elétrica com ênfase em pesquisa e desenvolvimento de sistemas de comunicação sem fio, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Sistemas WCDMA, Sistemas OFDM e OFDMA, Sistemas PLC, Sistemas MIMO, Codificação Turbo e LDPC, Alocação de Recursos, Smart Grids, Antenas Planares e Energy Harvesting.
