Alberto Jorge da Rocha Silva

Ethnobiologist, Bachelor in Biological Sciences by UFPE (1997). with a Master's Degree in Plant Biology from UFPE (2000). Currently working as a Sanitation Systems Analyst at CAESB-DF. He worked as Technical Advisor contracted by product (2012-2015), by the GEF Biodiversity for Food and Nutrition (BFN) Project, with the objective of elaborating strategies aimed at promoting the sustainable use of biodiversity for food and nutrition; and in the scope of the UNDP Project BRA / 11/001, aiming at the elaboration of conservation strategies (in situ, on farm and ex situ) and the promotion of the sustainable use of the native genetic resources present in the different Brazilian biomes. He worked as a Level IV Specialized Technician in MMA, at the Secretariat of Biodiversity and Forests - SBF, at the Department of Biodiversity Conservation - DCBio; and as Director of the Department of Environmental Development - DEAM, and Technical Advisor of the Environment Directorate - DIRMAM, of the Secretariat of Planning, Urbanism and Environment - SEPLAM, of the City Hall of Recife. He was a university professor at the Faculdades Integradas da Terra de Brasília - FTB, in the Degree in Biological Sciences. Experience in Ethnobiology, Botany, Higher Education in Biological Sciences and Environmental Management, working mainly in the following subjects: ethnobotany, herbal and medicinal plants, useful plants, conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity, agrobiodiversity and sociobiodiversity, traditional peoples and communities, agroecology , genetic resources, environmental conservation, environmental education and environmental sanitation

Etnobiólogo, Bacharel em Ciências Biológicas pela UFPE (1997). com Mestrado em Biologia Vegetal pela UFPE (2000). Atualmente é Analista de Sistemas de Saneamento na CAESB-DF, responsável técnico pelo Laboratório de Microbiologia de Águas Residuais, da Coordenadoria de Análises Biológicas e Limnológicas. Atuou como Consultor Técnico contratado por produto (2012-2015), pelo Projeto GEF Biodiversity for Food and Nutrition (BFN), tendo como objetivo a elaboração de estratégias direcionadas à promoção do uso sustentável da biodiversidade para a alimentação e nutrição; e no âmbito do Projeto PNUD BRA/11/001, tendo como objetivo a elaboração de estratégias direcionadas à conservação (in situ, on farm e ex situ) e à promoção do uso sustentável dos recursos genéticos nativos presentes nos diferentes biomas brasileiros. Atuou como Técnico Especializado nível IV no MMA, na Secretaria de Biodiversidade e Florestas - SBF, no Departamento de Conservação da Biodiversidade - DCBio; e como Diretor do Departamento de Desenvolvimento Ambiental - DEAM, e Assessor Técnico da Diretoria de Meio Ambiente - DIRMAM, da Secretaria de Planejamento, Urbanismo e Meio Ambiente - SEPLAM, da Prefeitura da Cidade do Recife. Foi professor universitário nas Faculdades Integradas da Terra de Brasília - FTB, no Curso de Licenciatura em Ciências Biológicas. Experiência nas áreas de Etnobiologia, Botânica, Ensino Superior em Ciências Biológicas , Gestão Ambiental e Microbiologia, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: etnobotânica, plantas medicinais e fitoterápicos, plantas úteis, conservação e uso sustentável da biodiversidade, agrobiodiversidade e sociobiodiversidade, povos e comunidades tradicionais, agroecologia, recursos genéticos, conservação ambiental, educação ambiental e saneamento ambiental.
