Honorary Senior Lecturer de Oral Medicine da University College London (UCL). Pesquisador, membro da Comissão de Ensino e docente da Residência Multiprofissional em Oncologia para Odontologia do Instituto Nacional de Câncer José Alencar Gomes da Silva (INCA). Graduação em Odontologia e especialização em Estomatologia, ambos pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (2003). Patologista bucal e PhD em Patologia Oral pela UCL em colaboração com a Health Protection Agency (HPA) - Londres, no Reino Unido (2010). Após experiência de trabalho na FIOCRUZ, já co-implementou Laboratório de Patologia Molecular NB-2 para investigação de HPV e EBV na Unidade Integrada de Patologia Especializada (UnIPE), vinculada ao Serviço de Anatomia Patológica do Hospital Universitário Antônio Pedro - Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF). Finalmente, implementou o primeiro Laboratório de Patologia Molecular da Faculdade de Odontologia da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) durante o Pós-doc em Odontologia de 2012 a 2015. Segundo e último Pós-Doc em Oncologia realizado no INCA entre 2020 e 2021 sobre a epidemiologia das neoplasias malignas de glândulas salivares maiores. Revisor de diversos periódicos com fator de impacto e indexações de relevância. Editor Associado da Revista Brasileira de Cancerologia (RBC) e Editor de Sessão de Estomatologia e Patologia da revista científica Brazilian Dental Science (BDS). Docente colaborador do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Saúde Coletiva e Controle do Câncer (PPGCan) e do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Oncologia (PPGO) do INCA. Professor auxiliar da Faculdade de Odontologia da UNISUAM (saúde coletiva e patologia oral) e da Universidade Santa Úrsula (USU) e membro do Núcleo Docente Estruturante (NDE) da USU, responsável pelas disciplinas de estomatologia e propedêutica clínica.

Reviewer of several journals with impact factor and relevant indexations. Associate Editor of the Revista Brasileira de Cancerologia (RBC) and Section Editor of the Brazilian Dental Science Journal (BDS). Collaborating lecturer of the Graduate Program in Public Health and Cancer Control (PPGCan) and the Graduate Program in Oncology (PPGO) at INCA. Assistant Professor at the Dental School of UNISUAM (public health and oral pathology) and Universidade Santa Úrsula (USU) where he is a member of the Structuring Teaching Core, responsible for the subject of stomatology and clinical propaedeutics.
