Antônio Lacerda Filho

Medical degree from the Federal University of Minas Gerais UFMG (1986), Master's Degree in Surgery from the Faculty of Medicine of UFMG (1994) and a PhD in Gastroenterology from the UFMG Faculty of Medicine (2004). He is currently Associate Professor III of the Department of Surgery of the Faculty of Medicine of UFMG, since 1993 and a postgraduate professor since 2008. He is a member of the Institute's Alfa de Gastroenterologia (Coloproctology and Small Intestine Group), Hospital das Clínicas, UFMG, where he has been working since 1990 and was its coordinator from 2000 to 2008. He is a Full Member of the Brazilian Society of Coloproctology and the Brazilian College of Surgeons and International fellow of the American Society of Colorectal Surgeons. He was president of the Society of Coloproctology of Minas Gerais State from 2000 to 2002 and is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Brazilian Society of Coloproctology. H?e is a former visiting phisycian of the Colorectal Surgery Departments of the Cleveland Clinic Florida (1996), Cleveland Clinic Ohio (1998) and the Mayo Clinic Rochester / MN (2006) and the Gastroenterology Department of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (1998). Has experience in the area of ​​Medicine, with emphasis in Colorectal Surgery, acting in its main subjects: Colorectal Cancer; Inflammatory bowel diseases; Minimally invasive surgery; Disorders of defecation and anorectal surgeries.

possui graduação em MEDICINA pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais - UFMG (1986), mestrado em Cirurgia (1994) e doutorado em Gastroenterologia pela Faculdade de Medicina da UFMG (2004). Atualmente é Professor Titular do Departamento de Cirurgia da Faculdade de Medicina da UFMG, onde atua na graduação desde 1993 e na pós-graduação, como orientador pleno, desde 2009. É Membro do Grupo de Coloproctologia e Intestino Delgado do Instituto Alfa de Gastroenterologia do Hospital das Clínicas da UFMG e foi seu coordenador de 2000 a 2008 e da Clínica Coloproctológica do Hospital Felício Rocho. É Membro Titular e Presidente da Sociedade Brasileira de Coloproctologia, Membro Titular do Colégio Brasileiro de Cirurgiões e International Fellow da American Society of Colorectal Surgeons. É membro fundador do Grupo de Estudos das Doenças Inflamatórias Intestinais do Brasil (GEDIIB) e da Associação Brasileira de Prevenção do Câncer de Intestino (ABRAPRECI). Membro titular, fundador e ex-presidente da Sociedade Mineira de Coloproctologia (2000 a 2002). Ex-estagiário dos serviços de Cirurgia Colorretal da Cleveland Clinic Florida, Cleveland Clinic Ohio e da Mayo Clinic Rochester/MN e do serviço de Gastroenterologia do University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Tem experiência na área de Medicina, com ênfase em Cirurgia Coloproctológica, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas e linhas de pesquisa: Câncer colorretal; doenças inflamatórias intestinais; cirurgia minimamente invasiva; distúrbios intestinais funcionais e da defecação e cirurgias orificiais.
