Glenn Mather is a research scientist at the Institute of Ceramics and Glass of the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (Madrid, Spain). Glenn graduated with a BSc Hons from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, in 1992. He obtained a PhD in 1995, also from the University of Aberdeen, under the direction of Prof. Anthony R. West with the thesis ?Crystal Chemistry of Some Novel Rock Salt- And Perovskite-Related Oxides?. He has worked as a researcher at the CRISMAT laboratory of the University of Caen (France), the University of Aveiro (Portugal) and at ECN (Holland). His research interests include ionic and electronic transport in ceramic materials, especially proton transport, defect chemistry and crystal chemistry. He has published more than 60 papers in international journals listed in the SCI, and is member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Spanish Ceramics and Glass Society
