Bruce Francisco Pontes da Silva

He holds a degree in meteorology from the Institute of Atmospheric Sciences of the Federal University of Alagoas (ICAT / UFAL - 2008), focusing on synoptic systems that cause severe weather in Alagoas State, and a master's degree in the same area from the Institute of Astronomy, Geophysics and Atmospheric Sciences of the University of São Paulo (IAG / USP - 2011), specializing in the study of Eastern Wave Disturbances over the Tropical South Atlantic. Between 2010 and 2011 he worked as a weather forecaster at Climatempo. From 2012 to 2019, he worked in meteorology research and weather forecast at the Capixaba Institute for Research, Technical Assistance and Rural Extension (Incaper). From 2020 to the present day, he is responsible for the weather and climate forecast at the Coordination of Civil Defense and Protection of the State of Espírito Santo (Cepdec / CBMES), issuing daily weather bulletins and monthly updating the seasonal climate forecast.

Possui graduação em meteorologia pelo Instituto de Ciências Atmosféricas da Universidade Federal de Alagoas (ICAT/UFAL - 2008), com foco nos sistemas sinóticos causadores de tempo severo em Alagoas, e mestrado na mesma área pelo Instituto de Astronomia, Geofísica e Ciências Atmosféricas da Universidade de São Paulo (IAG/USP - 2011), se especializando no estudo de Distúrbios Ondulatórios de Leste sobre o Atlântico Tropical Sul. Entre 2010 e 2011 trabalhou como previsor de tempo na Climatempo. De 2012 a 2019, atuou na pesquisa e operação em meteorologia no Instituto Capixaba de Pesquisa, Assistência Técnica e Extensão Rural (Incaper). De 2020 aos dias atuais, é responsável pela previsão de tempo e clima na Coordenadoria Estadual de Proteção e Defesa Civil do Estado do Espírito Santo (Cepdec/CBMES), emitindo boletins diários de tempo e atualizando mensalmente a previsão climática sazonal.
