Doctor in Sciences (Human Physiology) from the University of São Paulo (USP) and Bachelor and Licentiate in Biological Sciences from the same University. Specialist in Communication (Fundação Cásper Líbero) and in Diabetes Education (ADJ-IDF-SBD, UNIP, IDC, ADA-IDF-EASD). Develops, coordinates and supervises projects, educational and informational materials, and teaches classes, lectures and courses on the following topics: NCDs, intersectoral partnerships, protagonism and empowerment of (im)patients and leadership, health and quality of life, diabetes and its comorbidities, and chronobiology associated with development and endocrine physiology.
Member of the Multidisciplinary Group for Development and Biological Rhythms (GMDRB-EACH-USP) since 2003, of the Scientific Council of the International Alliance of Patients' Organizations (IAPO), since 2020, of the Steering Committee of Life for a Child International (LFAC), since 2020, and of the Steering Committee of the NCD-LAB/GCM/WHO, since 2021. Faculty in the Young Leaders in Diabetes Program of the International Diabetes Federation (YLD-IDF), 2011-2015, Fellow of the Global Health Leaders Program of the Public Health Institute (PHI), 2016-2019, Senior Global Technical Advisor for the Medtronic Foundation, 2016-2019.
