PhD and Master in Immunology at the Postgraduate Program in Immunology (PPGIm) at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA). Sandwich Doctorate at the University of Colorado (USA) in the area of Personalized Medicine (CAPES_PRINT scholarship holder). Bachelor in Biotechnology - UFBA with exchange in Forensic Biotechnology at Fleming College and internship at Trent University (CAPES scholarship holder)with plant hormones. She carried out scientific initiation in several laboratories: Laboratory of Immunology and Molecular Biology (IMUNOBIO)-UFBA; Tissue Engineering and Immunopharmacology Laboratory (LETI) - Gonçalo Moniz Research Center (CPQGM) - FIOCRUZ; Technology Processes Laboratory - SENAI/ CETIND; and in the Group for the Study of Organic Natural Substances (GESNAT) at the Institute of Chemistry - UFBA. She has experience in the area of Genetic Epidemiology, Biotechnology, Immunology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Plant Biotechnology, and Organic Chemistry, working mainly on the following topics: Genetic Epidemiology of complex diseases; Molecular biology; immunogenetics, with emphasis on studies of the association of genetic polymorphisms with asthma and allergies; chemotherapy with antiplasmodial action; biomass production and yeast autolysis; extraction and characterization of plant hormones; and chemistry of natural products.

Tem experiência na área de Epidemiologia Genética, Biotecnologia, Imunologia, Genética, Bioquímica, Farmacologia, Microbiologia, Biotecnologia vegetal, e Química orgânica, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Epidemiologia Genética das doenças complexas; Biologia molecular; imunogenética, com ênfase em estudos de associação de polimorfismos genéticos com asma e alergias; quimioterápicos com ação antiplasmodial; produção de biomassa e autólise de levedura; extração e caracterização de hormônios vegetais; e química de produtos naturais.
