Norberto Niclotti Catuci

Doutorando em Linguística Aplicada na Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), foi professor substituto na área de Letras no Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS), tendo sido classificado em primeiro lugar no processo seletivo. Possui mestrado em Letras pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), realizado com bolsa integral (CNPq) e Licenciatura em Letras - Português, Inglês e Literatura pela Universidade Federal de Pelotas (UFPel). Atuou junto ao NucLi da UFPel como professor bolsista (CAPES) do Programa Idiomas sem Fronteiras (IsF), onde elaborou material didático, desenvolveu diversos cursos de língua inglesa e foi aplicador oficial de testes de proficiência TOEFL. Também, foi monitor de Língua Inglesa e pesquisador em Linguística Aplicada na UFPel com bolsa (FAPERGS).Foi professor bolsista do programa IsF no âmbito da UFRGS, pesquisador visitante na área de Linguística Aplicada e é membro da equipe editorial da Revista Bem Legal, também da UFRGS.Atua como parecerista em periódicos como LínguaTec, Revista Tear e Bem Legal.Possui interesse nas linhas de Linguística Aplicada (formação de professores, educação linguística, bilinguismo e translingagem) e em estudos referentes à teoria dialógica do discurso (Bakhtin). Integra o grupo de pesquisa e extensão TRANSLINGUAR (UFRGS), focado na formação colaborativa de professores para a educação linguística bilíngue.

Norberto Niclotti Catuci is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). He previously served as a substitute professor in the field of Language Studies at the Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS), where he achieved first place in the selection process. He holds a Master's degree in Linguistics (Letras) from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), with a prestigious full scholarship awarded by CNPq. Initially, he obtained a Bachelor's degree in English and Portuguese Language Teaching from the Universidade Federal de Pelotas (UFPel).During his tenure at UFPel, Catuci actively contributed to the Nucleus of Languages (NucLi) as an English teacher (CAPES) for the Languages without Borders Program (IsF). In this capacity, he excelled in developing didactic materials, designing a variety of English language courses, and serving as an official TOEFL proficiency test administrator. Additionally, he gained valuable experience as an English language monitor and conducted research in Applied Linguistics during his undergraduate studies, supported by a scholarship provided by FAPERGS.Catuci's dedication to language education extended to his role as an English language teacher for the IsF program at UFRGS. Furthermore, he enriched his academic pursuits by undertaking a visiting researcher position in the field of Applied Linguistics and serving as a member of the editorial team for the esteemed Bem Legal Journal, affiliated with UFRGS. Moreover, he actively contributes as a reviewer for reputable journals such as LínguaTec, Revista Tear, and Bem Legal.His research interests encompass various aspects of Applied Linguistics, including language and teacher education, bilingualism, and translanguaging. Additionally, he demonstrates a keen interest in studies related to the dialogic theory of discourse as espoused by Bakhtin.
