Giovane Matheus Camargo

Atualmente realiza estágio pós-doutoral em sociologia política na Universidade Vila Velha (UVV). Doutor em Sociologia pela Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR). Mestre em Sociologia também pela UFPR. Especialista em Direito Penal e Criminologia pelo Instituto de Criminologia e Política Criminal (ICPC). Bacharel em Direito pelo Instituto Superior do Litoral do Paraná (ISULPAR). Atualmente é professor das disciplinas de direito penal, ciência política e teoria geral do estado no ISULPAR, sendo também editor-chefe da revista científica Direito Democracia da instituição. Trabalha com educação popular em direitos humanos no curso de defensores populares do Instituto Federal do Paraná (IFPR) e é assessor jurídico na Defensoria Pública do Estado do Paraná. Anteriormente foi assessor de Promotor de Justiça no Ministério Público do Estado do Paraná. É pesquisador dos grupos de pesquisa: Centro de Estudos em Segurança Pública e Direitos Humanos (CESPDH) da UFPR e Núcleo de Pesquisa em Ativismos, Resistências e Conflitos (NUPARC) da Universidade Vila Velha. Atua principalmente nos seguintes temas: direitos humanos; violência e punição.

Currently performing a postdoctoral internship in political sociology at the Vila Velha University (UVV). PhD in Sociology from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR). Master in Sociology also from UFPR. Specialist in Criminal Law and Criminology by the Institute of Criminology and Criminal Policy (ICPC). Bachelor of Laws from the Superior Institute of the Coast of Paraná (ISULPAR). He is currently a professor of criminal law, human rights, political science and general theory of the state at ISULPAR, in addition to working with popular education in human rights in the course for popular defenders at the Federal Institute of Paraná (IFPR). He is also a legal advisor at the Public Defender's Office of the State of Paraná and previously was an advisor to the Public Prosecutor at the Public Ministry of the State of Paraná. Works mainly on the following topics: human rights; violence and punishment. He is a researcher for the research groups: Center for Studies in Public Security and Human Rights (CESPDH) at UFPR and Nucleus for Research in Activism, Resistance and Conflict (NUPARC) at Vila Velha University. Editor-in-Chief of Law Democracy magazine of ISULPAR's undergraduate law course.
