Bruna Wulff Fetter

Professor and researcher at the UFRGS Institute of Arts, Bruna Fetter holds a PhD in History, Theory and Art Criticism from the Graduate Program in Visual Arts at the same University, where she also works as a professor. Vice-coordinator of the specialization course in Curatorial Practices (UFRGS), she was a Fulbright Visiting Researcher at New York University (2014/2015) as part of her PhD research on processes of legitimation and valuation of Brazilian contemporary art. She is currently the Cultural Director of the Vera Chaves Barcellos Foundation. Curator of several exhibitions, between 2006 and 2007 she coordinated the executive production team of the 6th Mercosur Biennial. From 2010 to 2013 she was an external consultant of the Ministry of Culture in Brazil. Between 2013 and 2014 she took part at the Collection and Curatorship Committee of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Rio Grande do Sul. She is a member of ANPAP (Brazilian Association of Visual Arts Researchers), ABCA (Brazilian Association of Art Critics) and AICA (International Association of Art Critics). She is a co-author of the book ?The new rules of the game: the art system in Brazil" (Zouk, 2014). She also collaborated in the publications "Visual arts - Brazilian contemporary essays" (FUNARTE, 2017), "Contemporary practices of moving" (Circuito, 2015) and "The ladies have the floor: dialogues on the insertion of women in the visual arts" (Panorama Crítico, 2014). She is also a member of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA), the Brazilian Association of Art Critics (ABCA) and the National Association of Plastic Arts Researchers (ANPAP).

Professora e pesquisadora do Instituto de Artes da UFRGS, Bruna Fetter é Doutora em História,Teoria e Crítica de Arte pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Artes Visuais desta mesma Universidade, onde também atua como docente. Vice-coordenadora do curso de especialização em Práticas Curatoriais (UFRGS), foi pesquisadora visitante na New York University (2014/2015), possibilitado por bolsa Fulbright. Atualmente é Diretora Cultural da Fundação Vera Chaves Barcellos. Curadora de diversas mostras, entre 2006 e 2007 coordenou a equipe de produção executiva da 6a Bienal do Mercosul. É membro da ANPAP, da ABCA e da AICA. Coautora do livro ?As novas regras do jogo: sistema da arte no Brasil? (Editora Zouk, 2014), colaborou nas publicações ?Artes visuais - ensaios brasileiros contemporâneos? (org. Fernando Cocchiarale, André Severo e Marília Panitz, FUNARTE, 2017), ?Práticas contemporâneas do mover-se? (org. Michelle Sommer, Circuito, 2015) e ?A palavra está com elas: diálogos sobre a inserção da mulher nas artes visuais? (org. Lilian Maus, Panorama Crítico, 2014). Desde 2015 é conselheira do Instituto Yvy Maraey - Arte e Natureza. Também é membro da Associação Internacional de Críticos de Arte (AICA), da Associação Brasileira de Crítica de Arte (ABCA) e da Associação Nacional dos Pesquisadores de Artes Plásticas (ANPAP).
